I am a programmer who has been a stay home dad for a few years now and am wanting to get back in the industry. I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a book on c# for someone with no knowledge of it. In a prior life I did have some experience maintaining C++ code, though not my strong point which was in Unix shell programming. Thanks, Ben
Hi Ben, I am also Ben! I started out with "The C# Programming Language". It is published by Microsoft Press and written by Anders Hejlsberg. This is a good place to start from zero. After that I never bought another book again. The internet took over... ;-) - Ben
Ooops! I just looked, its not Microsoft Press. It was actually published by "Addison-Wesley" (a part of Pearson Education). It just *looks* like a Microsoft Press book.
