hello friends, I have forget the password of my computer administrator. And I have some important data on my computer. can you tell me how can I access the administrator password. thanks in advance.
What OS are you running? Assuming it's a version of windows, download and burn this iso: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=133599&package_id=167699 Then boot into it and let it crack all your passwords. Chances are, it'll only take a few minutes.
Since its ur own computer u dont need to crack. Jus boot an alternate OS (as small as puppy linux) to save all important files to another drive. then u can even re install ur OS instead of cracking ur own password.
Why would you go through the trouble of backing up data and reinstalling the OS when it would most likely take less time to crack the password than it would to back up the data alone? I don't see any negative effects of cracking the password (besides possibly realizing how insecure the password is), and if it's not an incredibly strong password, everything could be back to normal within five or ten minutes, rather than the few hours it would take to back up, reinstall, and reconfigure.
If he is much concerned about the size of the file, he can use an alternate os. downloading an 87 MB file, writing it, booting with it, copying important files to other drive, then reinstalling (may take atmost 35 mins). So everything will be done within an hour. Instead he can choose to download a file which is large as 500MB..
I see. Although I think that time estimate is a bit on the short side... not only does he need reinstall the OS (about 35 minutes according to the installer, assuming it's XP or Vista), but after that he'll need to set it up again with his user account, transfer his files back over, reinstall and reconfigure all his old programs, etc. Don't forget those updates either... remember how big Windows service packs are? If you combine all the update sizes, it's probably either very close to or more than the size of the ophcrack live cd. But if bandwidth is a problem, he can also just download puppy, install jtr to the live cd, and let it run on the sam. Either way, cracking will most likely be easier/faster than a complete reinstall. But I guess both will get the job done, in the long run.
Just 3mb of software which needs to be written on a cd. Just boot from that cd. Name the user account and it will reset the password to blank. That's it. Its a linux based software. It is called Portable Admin Password hack Tool. It is freely available on the internet. Just google the internet. You will find it easily.
Good find. I vaguely remember using something like that a while back. Worked well, if I remember correctly. Here's yet another way: Hit F8 when you boot, choose to boot into the command prompt, and type this in: net user yourUserName and then reset the password to whatever you want.
Hi, guys. There are many solutions for you. As far as I know, my classmates use following steps to reset their windows password, and it is said that this method is very smart. ※.Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Unlocker 4.0 and decompress it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD. ※. Get out the newly created CD and insert it to the locked computer. ※. re-booted the locked computer and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.''' ※. Setting new password: Step one: Open the "Control Panel" Step two: Click the "User Account " Step three: Select the account you wanna to set a new password. Step four: Click "changing Account " and "set up password", then fill out the form as listed. Click "Create Password". Thus, you have a personal login ID and Password, any one has no right to login to your computer with out this info.
I recently discovered a CD that can hack instantly..... PM me if you wish fr more information on this
I mean i just registered and once i read this i was shocked! Many of u guys are pro but still dont know that u can change the admin password through the command prompt! here are the commands! net user net user (id of that account) * make sure you wrote the star above! and then just change the password! no need to do a backup!
what if he boots into linux and delets the sam file does that re initialize the username and password to fresh???
@runedec i think for that you need to be logged in as "admin", otherwise whats the point of having passwords for admin...am i right?
I am pretty sure it workds without being admin! But i mean its worth a try. Id rather do it then backup my system and remove it! /cheers RuneDec
even that be the case u can still edit ur rights on ur account and allow access therefor allowing u to execute the command
I am not really interested to answer these kidn of threads. It has been discussed probably 1000s of times before.
